HEKS/EPER supports rural community development, humanitarian aid and church cooperation projects in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. HEKS/EPER runs its own Coordination Office in 17 priority programmes or primary-focus regions.
HEKS/EPER combats hunger and poverty with an emphasis on access to land, it engages in peace work in situations of extreme tension, it provides emergency aid for victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and supports the welfare and social work of the Reformed Churches in Eastern Europe and Syria. Projects are implemented by local partner organizations that are close to the beneficiaries and make efficient use of the resources entrusted to them.
Food security and disaster resilience
HEKS/EPER is active in six African countries where it is improving food security and disaster prevention and preparedness in rural communities and providing humanitarian aid.
