Legal advice service for persons who have applied for asylum

BCJ-Vaud

Our legal advice service, which also provides interpreters, is available to persons who have filed a request for asylum with a Federal Asylum Centre (FAC), and who have been assigned to the Canton of Vaud but are still awaiting a decision on their case. The lawyers at BCJ Vaud assist asylum seekers during their federal hearing and, if necessary, transmit new elements of proof and other important documentation to the authorities to complete the asylum application, before a decision is handed down.

Our aim

Under a mandate from the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), BCJ Vaud defends and advises asylum seekers assigned to the Canton of Vaud until a decision is made on their asylum application.

Target group

Asylum seekers who have submitted an application to an FAC, who are assigned to the Canton of Vaud and who are subject to an extended procedure.
